“‘Valor y Cambio’ is a story-telling, community-building, and solidarity economy project started by artist Frances Negrón-Muntaner and collaborator Sarabel Santos Negrón. The users of the currency in East Harlem will get to experience how communities can better build economies centered on social challenges, health, education, and the environment. The installation’s currency will be available through a refurbished traveling ATM called the CyV machine.”
