Michael Henry Adams is a writer, lecturer, historian, tour guide and activist living in Harlem. He is a graduate of Columbia University’s master’s program in Historic Preservation, and his books include Harlem, Lost and Found; An Architectural and Social History, 1765-1915 (2001) and Style and Grace; African Americans at Home (2002). Mr. Adams will be speaking about his widely shared New York Times editorial on gentrification.
