The Standing Rock Sioux are at the center of the dispute over the Dakota Access oil pipeline, which will cut north of the reservation border, crossing sacred sites and jeopardizing Standing Rock’s water supply. Hundreds of tribes have offered support and thousands of protesters have mobilized to protect Standing Rock. The tribe’s chairman, David Archambault, will offer his insight on these historic events.
