The Columbia University Seminar on Early American History and Culture and the Institute for Thomas Paine Studies (ITPS) at Iona College is hosting an undergraduate-friendly mini-conference that brings together scholars of the early American state with scholars of minority communities that made claims on the state or that sought to preserve their autonomy in the face of the state’s growth.
