BA, Ethnicity and Race Studies
School: GS
Year: 2018

Jessica has a Bachelors degree in Ethnicity and Race Studies where she designed an individualized track of study to survey topics in immigration. Her diverse lived experiences have primarily shaped her interest in such issues as US citizenship, immigration, labor, and class formation, with an emphasis on political surveillance. In particular, she is interested in the United States’ increased use of economic and political power to re-articulate the immigrant subject’s identity. For the future, she hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Sociology where she will continue to examine the political, legal, and social frameworks of immigration. Jessica is actively looking for full-time post-undergraduate opportunities.
