This panel will celebrate the importance of Soft Power (David Henry Hwang, Jeanine Tesori, Leigh Silverman at the Public Theater) as a cultural and theatrical event. Scholars of theater history, gender and sexuality studies, Asian and Asian American Studies, and race and performance studies will offer commentary on the play, followed by comments from David Henry Hwang and audience Q&A.
