Naima Ramos Chapman works to tell stories of personal transformation and understated bravery. Their award-winning films include And Nothing Happened, Piu Piu, and In Place of Monuments. They have written, directed, and/or acted in numerous TV shows including the HBO series Random Acts of Flyness, Betty, and The Other Black Girl. They will screen a film, facilitate a writing exercise, and share how they use filmmaking to take back power after surviving internalized hierarchical abuses.
